Mohitosan_ NTA. Honestly, the Wi-Fi password isn't even the main issue. The concerning part is that you explicitly told him you weren't comfortable with unannounced entry, and his response was essentially "I

own the building, so your boundary doesn't matter" You offered a perfectly workable solution: contact you and arrange access and he rejected it. Keep everything documented from here on out.

Lost_Reaction_5489 Check the laws in your state and your lease. It's very possible that you can sue him for violating your tenancy rights. In most places 24 hours notice must be given before entry.

idfkbro99 NTA!!! Not even close to being the a hole.. What the h I is your landlord doing. Are you leasing privately or through an agency?

This is violating so many rights of yours as a tenent. It's gross. Also what landlord needs to check your router? Definitely NTA, and I would hold strong in the fact that he needs to give you notice.

Maybe would suggest an indoor ring camera or similar, to see if hes accessing the property when you're not even home/aware. Stay safe OP, something is not right here.

Bunny Roselle NTA. "Nobody visits anyway" isn't a free pass to treat your apartment like his personal lounge.

the_paiginator Hey, I don't know how tech savvy your landlord is, but if he has your router info, he can still potentially track/monitor you even if he doesn't have your WiFi password. He technically doesn't need your password to mess with you if he chooses to. My ex was tech- savvy and stalked me that way.

It may be a good idea to call your internet provider and ask for a replacement router. Definitely change important passwords once you've accessed the WiFi using the new router.

And, yes, put up cameras in your apartment. Check your apartment for hidden cameras, because it sounds like this guy may have installed them in your place and connected them to your WiFi. Why the h l is he keeping track of your activies and visitors? I'd get,

at a bare minimum, one of those security doorstop alarms so he physically cannot get in easily while you are home. What if he sneaks in while you're asleep/showering/otherwise vulnerable?
